This blog documents our journey towards creating our new family. We are so excited about welcoming a little person into our lives!
We recently returned from extended time in Pakistan, where Sahar was teaching, and Sapna was taking much-needed time off. Sapna also visited India while we were there. We were also fortunate to have been able to travel elsewhere! We visited Thailand and Sri Lanka on one trip, and then Turkey, Kenya, and Tanzania on another trip. We got to go on a safari in Kenya and Tanzania, which we had been wanting to do for years - truly a great adventure! Both of us enjoy traveling and we can't wait to take our little one along with us to see what a beautiful world we live in. We can only imagine how much fun they would have had with all of the amazing animals that we got to see!
Now that we are back in Washington, DC, we are expecting the Fall to be pretty quiet but we are planning one trip to New York City where Sahar has some work. Sapna lived in NYC for 5 years, and Sahar spent extended time there too, so it is always nice to visit. While we are there, we are hoping to see some of our old favorite neighborhoods like Jackson Heights, Astoria, Coney Island Avenue, as well as Central Park which is always lovely especially with the fall colors.
